New Building Code Forms Are Now Available A number of forms issued under the Building Code Act, 1992, including the Application for a Permit to Construct or Demolish, have been updated.
A Building Permit is your formal permission from the City of Toronto to begin construction, demolition, addition or renovation on your property. Toronto Building staff must review your plans to ensure that they comply with the Ontario Building Code, local Zoning By-laws, and other applicable regulations.
